Currency & Payments

Turkey’s official currency is the Turkish Lira (₺). Most places accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), including hotels, restaurants, and shops.
ATMs are widely available in Kemer and Antalya — but we recommend carrying a bit of cash for small purchases, taxis, or local markets.

Local SIM Cards & WiFi

To stay connected during your trip, you can buy a prepaid Turkish SIM card from major providers like Turkcell, Vodafone, or Türk Telekom at the airport or in town.
Most hotels, cafés, and restaurants offer free WiFi, but a local SIM can be handy for maps, translation, or ride apps when exploring.

Weather & Packing Tips

In August, expect beautiful sunny weather in Kemer — with daytime temperatures around 30–35°C (86–95°F).
We suggest packing:

  • Light, breathable clothes

  • Swimwear, hats, and sunscreen

  • Comfortable sandals or shoes for walking

  • A light jacket or shawl for breezy nights by the sea

Emergency Contacts

In case of an emergency, here are key contacts:

  • Ambulance & Medical Emergency: Dial 112

  • Police: Dial 155

  • Local Hospital: Kemer State Hospital: +90 242 814 10 52

  • Pharmacies: Look for “Eczane” signs (pharmacies rotate night duty schedules; your hotel can assist)
